LITERACY EDUCATION CONSULTING

Behind every child who struggles to learn is a concerned parent searching for answers. At Multisensory Teaching, we know early intervention is the key that will unlock your child's potential and help him/her rediscover the joy of learning. Through consultation, Alison Luria designs personalized educational programs to help meet the needs of individual children. Social, emotional, and academic needs are considered along with input from parents, teachers and other professionals.

Consulting services may include the following components:

  • Initial consulation with the child and family
  • Evaluation of the child's educational history, including school reports and standardized tests
  • Personal meetings with the child to assess interests, values, goals and academic challenges
  • Observation of the child in his/her natural school environment
  • Personal meetings with families to determine results of assessments, realistic goals, and potential resources and referrals

In addition to providing individual and group sessions, we also provide consultant services to private schools, teachers and individual parents for children experiencing classroom difficulties.
